Determining Where You Will Invest

There are several different types of investments, and there are many factors in determining where you should invest your funds.

Of course, determining where you will invest begins with researching the various available types of investments, determining your risk tolerance, and determining your investment style – along with your financial goals.

If you were going to purchase a new car, you would do quite a bit of research before making a final decision and a purchase. You would never consider purchasing a car that you had not fully looked over and taken for a test drive. Investing works much the same way.

You will of course learn as much about the investment as possible, and you would want to see how past investors have done as well. It’s common sense!

Learning about the stock market and investments takes a lot of time… but it is time well spent. There are numerous books and websites on the topic, and you can even take college level courses on the topic – which is what stock brokers do. With access to the Internet, you can actually play the stock market – with fake money – to get a feel for how it works.

You can make pretend investments, and see how they do. Do a search with any search engine for ‘Stock Market Games’ or ‘Stock Market Simulations.’ This is a great way to start learning about investing in the stock market.

Other types of investments – outside of the stock market – do not have simulators. You must learn about those types of investments the hard way – by reading.

As a potential investor, you should read anything you can get your hands on about investing…but start with the beginning investment books and websites first. Otherwise, you will quickly find that you are lost.

Finally, speak with a financial planner. Tell them your goals, and ask them for their suggestions – this is what they do! A good financial planner can easily help you determine where to invest your funds, and help you set up a plan to reach all of your financial goals. Many will even teach you about investing along the way – make sure you pay attention to what they are telling you!

Determine Your Risk Tolerance

Each individual has a risk tolerance that should not be ignored. Any good stock broker or financial planner knows this, and they should make the effort to help you determine what your risk tolerance is. Then, they should work with you to find investments that do not exceed your risk tolerance.

Determining one’s risk tolerance involves several different things. First, you need to know how much money you have to invest, and what your investment and financial goals are.

For instance, if you plan to retire in ten years, and you’ve not saved a single penny towards that end, you need to have a high risk tolerance – because you will need to do some aggressive – risky – investing in order to reach your financial goal.

On the other side of the coin, if you are in your early twenties and you want to start investing for your retirement, your risk tolerance will be low. You can afford to watch your money grow slowly over time.

Realize of course, that your need for a high risk tolerance or your need for a low risk tolerance really has no bearing on how you feel about risk. Again, there is a lot in determining your tolerance.

For instance, if you invested in the stock market and you watched the movement of that stock daily and saw that it was dropping slightly, what would you do?

Would you sell out or would you let your money ride? If you have a low tolerance for risk, you would want to sell out… if you have a high tolerance, you would let your money ride and see what happens. This is not based on what your financial goals are. This tolerance is based on how you feel about your money!

Again, a good financial planner or stock broker should help you determine the level of risk that you are comfortable with, and help you choose your investments accordingly.

Your risk tolerance should be based on what your financial goals are and how you feel about the possibility of losing your money. It’s all tied in together.

Choosing a Broker

Depending on the type of investing that you plan to do, you may need to hire a broker to handle your investments for you. Brokers work for brokerage houses and have the ability to buy and sell stock on the stock exchange. You may wonder if you really need a broker. The answer is yes. If you intend to buy or sell stocks on the stock exchange, you must have a broker.

Stockbrokers are required to pass two different tests in order to obtain their license. These tests are very difficult, and most brokers have a background in business or finance, with a Bachelors or Masters Degree.

It is very important to understand the difference between a broker and a stock market analyst. An analyst literally analyzes the stock market, and predicts what it will or will not do, or how specific stocks will perform. A stock broker is only there to follow your instructions to either buy or sell stock… not to analyze stocks.

Brokers earn their money from commissions on sales in most cases. When you instruct your broker to buy or sell a stock, they earn a set percentage of the transaction. Many brokers charge a flat ‘per transaction’ fee.

There are two types of brokers: Full service brokers and discount brokers. Full service brokers can usually offer more types of investments, may provide you with investment advice, and is usually paid in commissions.

Discount brokers typically do not offer any advice and do no research – they just do as you ask them to do, without all of the bells and whistles.

So, the biggest decision you must make when it come to brokers is whether you want a full service broker or a discount broker.

If you are new to investing, you may need to go with a full service broker to ensure that you are making wise investments. They can offer you the skill that you lack at this point. However, if you are already knowledgeable about the stock market, all you really need is a discount broker to make your trades for you.

About Online Trading

The invention of the Internet has brought about many changes in the way that we conduct our lives and our personal business. We can pay our bills online, shop online, bank online, and even date online!

We can even buy and sell stocks online. Traders love having the ability to look at their accounts whenever they want to, and brokers like having the ability to take orders over the Internet, as opposed to the telephone.

Most brokers and brokerage houses now offer online trading to their clients. Another great thing about trading online is that fees and commissions are often lower. While online trading is great, there are some drawbacks.

If you are new to investing, having the ability to actually speak with a broker can be quite beneficial. If you aren’t stock market savvy, online trading may be a dangerous thing for you. If this is the case, make sure that you learn as much as you can about trading stocks before you start trading online.

You should also be aware that you don’t have a computer with Internet access attached to you. You won’t always have the ability to get online to make a trade. You need to be sure that you can call and speak with a broker if this is the case, using the online broker. This is true whether you are an advanced trader or a beginner.

It is also a good idea to go with an online brokerage company that has been around for a while. You won’t find one that has been in business for fifty years of course, but you can find a company that has been in business that long and now offers online trading.

Again, online trading is a beautiful thing – but it isn’t for everyone. Think carefully before you decide to do your trading online, and make sure that you really know what you are doing!

Penggunaan Gas Flare Makin Berkurang

Love Scenes - What Type of Romance Reader Are You

Hiding under the covers while reading romance novels? Does that sound familiar? You're probably embarrassed by the cover of the book you're reading! Well, it could be you've picked up a romance book that falls under the erotica category! Let me make it simple to understand. The intensity and portrayal of romantic love scenes in a novel determines what category of romance it falls under.

I have often wondered - if books were movies, what would be the equivalent of ratings? Here's how I would categorize romance books. There are three categories of romances – sweet, sensual, and erotica. In sweet love stories, the maximum you could expect to happen is a few chaste kisses and subtle love inferences. Romantic scenes in these romance books are tender as the story is more centered on a family-oriented plot rather than depicting love brewing between couples. For such light romance readers, tender romance books by Georgette Heyer and Betty Neels are perfect reads!

Sensual romance novels have storylines where the plot is essential, but the author liberally sprinkles romantic love scenes here and there! The passion and chemistry between the pair is intense and evident. Euphemisms and metaphorical descriptions are made use of instead of giving details of what actually ‘happens'. These books are capable of conjuring very vivid sensual pictures in your mind! If you think you fall under this category, you could try romance ebooks by Harlequin, especially the Silhouette Desire series.

Coming to erotica romance books, very little (or rather, nothing!) is left to the imagination. The romantic love scenes are described in length and very explicit content can be expected. Be prepared for consummated love scenes that are steamy and passionate, to say the very least!

Diesel-ebooks is a wonderful website where I found romance ebooks from all three categories in abundance! So, what type of romance reader are you? Decide, and pick the type of romance you think you can handle!a

A Peek Into Paranormal Romance

So, you've been bitten by the ‘Twilight' bug? Join the club! I too have fallen head over heels in love with this romance book. According to me, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan's love story is different, not because he's an altruistic vampire and she, a fragile human, but because the entire story is very believable and placed in a setting where you and I could possibly exist. It could actually make you speculate if the person sitting beside you is a vampire too! Other paranormal romance stories never fail to intrigue me, but with "Twilight", it was love at first bite! (I mean love at first sight!)

Werewolves, shape shifters, half-breeds, zombies, and other members of the living ‘undead' feature in paranormal romances. And yes, you can always expect some gruesome accounts of their ways of living. Most often, paranormal romances focus on or revolve around a primary character around which these mythical creatures exist. What follows is a suspenseful plotline relating to trials and tribulations faced by them. If the "Twilight Series" by Stephenie Meyer appealed to you, and you're now on the ‘prowl' for more such paranormal romance novels, then here are a few suggestions from my side. The "Breed Next Door" by Lora Leigh is a gripping romance between a woman and a shape-shifting lion breed. What follows is a story filled with their hungry passion for one another. If it's the werewolf's howl that haunts you, then I must say "Elizabeth's Wolf" again by Lora Leigh, is a real page-turner. It's also filled with little tidbits about the life of these semi-canine creatures.

Check out Diesel-ebooks if you'd love to ‘devour' any of these paranormal romance ebooks! It's my favorite destination whenever I want to read romance books. So, take your pick from their collection of paranormal romance ebooks and experience these immortal creatures walk amongst us!a

I Found a Lottery System Which Actually Works!

What's stopping you from winning the lottery right now?

If you're like me, and most other lotto or lottery players, you probably believe that the odds are stacked against you.

What if I showed you a little-known system I've found that will change your thinking - a simple system which has broken all winning records for the last 20 years:

- Where many players get up to a 98% winning rate... that's a prize in almost every game they play.

- That has hundreds of winning testimonials on their website.

- Where you only have to fill in your tickets once, and never have to worry about filling them out again.

- Where even if millions of others play, they'll never be competition for you.

And it gets better...

Ask me how to win Lotto 9 out of 10 times!

I Found a Lottery System Which Actually Works!

The lottery is the world's largest opportunity. Every week many hundreds of millions of people in nearly every country of the world play a lotto game. But almost every single one of them - without my system - fail miserably in getting any prize at all ... not even a free ticket.

This system is unique.http://luckyme14.wordpress.com

The way it works is different to every other lottery system on the planet.

That's why it's so successful, because it uses a secret loophole which generates wins like crazy.

Right now they are offering only a small number of copies at a reduced price in order to keep down the number of people who win. That means fewer winners to share the prizes.

Then they'll put the price back up again to reduce the demand.a

Revealing the Hidden Facts of Western Media Evil

Now the world is full of lies and deception of Western leaders who supported the corporate media. Lies and deception is what would be shown to you through this paper. You can read and know all the lies and deception of television media, as well as cause and effect. Baca secara fonetik

There are a number of issues in the world is incredibly important, but the media ignore or even twisted. Many times television media companies look biased , they tend to try to "brainwash" the way we will see and taste a variety of issues around the world.

One of the most prominent example is that thousands, if not millions of television viewers the West believe that Muslims are terrorists and Islam is evil or a threat to world peace and security. American corporate media has experienced a shift from a means of reporting the actual news into the propaganda machine that faithfully support the president and the U.S. government, despite false or true

Almost every day we see a kind of funnel-government mouthpiece like CNN, MSNBC, and FOX News launch news "unilateral". The purpose of such reporting clearly misled viewers perspective on certain issues. For example the case of Saddam, he did not have weapons of mass destruction. However, with the help of the American corporate media, Bush lied to the public to trust the news. Dirty campaign against Saddam in such a wonderful, even if we can clear Saddam of any allegations, the world still hates and people view it as evil.

The world has been destroyed and "a few people of choice" is increasingly consuming resources while at the expense of others. This all happens thanks to the support media of television. If you think you're American then you should read, open your eyes, learn about the genuineness of Western Media Evil E-book in www.intensclick.com . After that, then you can see the world clearly through your own eyes, not their eyes.a

The inanimate speak out

When it comes to me, everything looks good and dandy from the outside when in fact, my life is one big phony lie. I hate what I stand for. Help me. Everyone loves me, now I just need to learn to love myself…

My job description requires that I fill women with false promises. Well I say false, sometimes these promises are fulfilled…However, they often end in tears and then a whole load of the ‘resentment' stuff humans do is held against me.

Also, the whole throwing me around thing ain't on. I have a fear of heights okay, and even though I know its coming each time, it never fails to terrify me. Even if there's a gentle landing in a woman's soft young manicured hands, it only gets worse from there…The Squealing. Dear Lord these women can squeal. My poor ears. Oh, and once they have got a hold of you they hold you so incredibly tight. Painfully tight. It hurts me. They hold me so tightly because they think that I can promise them happiness. Well ladies, maybe I can, but I can't guarantee anything.

It does help with the self confidence and all that being on the arm of she who is the centre of attention all day. Everyone tells us we are beautiful, and she, yes she, proudly clutches me like a shiny new handbag…Oh, and the fact that hundreds of women desperately want to grasp me in their hands works wonders on the ego also.

But when I go home of an evening to a bin (a box if I am lucky), that is when the guilt and the lonliness kicks in. Yes I am beautiful, desirable and important, but I am living a sorry life of lies…I just can't take it anymore…the pressure…the expectations….a

Cormac McCarthy Novels

There always seems to be a myriad of desperately mediocre authors out there, all rallying to get their first coveted 'best-seller' or 'novel of the year' with every book they release and yet how many of these I ask you, are actually worth the hype that precedes them?

I can't think of many and whilst there are some genuine exceptions, I find it's getting more and more difficult to find a decent classic amongst the hundreds of generic rehash titles out there today. Well ladies and gentlemen, I present to you an exception to the rule, a writer that you may of even heard of before but have never really given the time of day.

That author is Cormac Mccarthy, a bona fide genius that trades in style and popularity for substance and respect without even the slightest of blinks. Born in the early 1930s, the near 80-year old novelist has written a total of just ten books since his début release in 1965 and whilst he has risen dramatically in fame with every successive book released, his actual writing skill has never wavered, not even once.

His most popular work, namely 2005's No Country For Old Men and 2006's Pulitzer Prize-winning The Road, are both two of mine and my sons favourite pieces of literature to date and have each been recently transferred wonderfully to the big screen (The Coens Brothers helmed No Country whilst John Hillcoat directed the slightly lacking but still captivating The Road). The books transferred so well into films that McCarthy has since been reached by several movie studios, all looking to adapt more and more of the authors back catalogue into films. Now I'm not someone who necessarily enjoys watching every book being turned into films but if they happen to be on the professional level that McCarthy's books are, well I'm all for it.

Whilst his work is coveted by many, there's also another focal reason why McCarthy has such a rich and respected following and that's his actual writing style.
Sometimes comma-less, always speech-mark-less and with sentences that range from two words to two hundred, the man pulls off some of the most difficult grammatical techniques in the business. Why you ask? Well one reason he's given was simply that he found no reason to "blot the page up with weird little marks". If ever an author has decided to throw the rule book out the window, it's McCarthy.

Few authors of our generation manage to uphold a constant literary significance and though many have fallen due to lack of ambition and creativity, Cormac McCarthy has only gotten stronger with every book released. We're in a time where the social-climate is ever-changing and morphing into new trends and ideas (vampires one day, romance the next!) and whilst you can sit back and watch hundreds of writers attempt (and ultimately fail) to keep up with the speed of today, you can be safe with the knowledge that there's still a select few people out there that know exactly what they're doing.a

The Scalpel - Medical Thriller

He looked outside from the eastern window of his Paris mansion, the resplendent Champs-de-Elysees Avenue was glowing at is best from Eiffel Tower on one end to the Arch-de-Triumph on the other. Men, women, old, young, children were strolling with gay abandon, hand in hand, in pairs or groups, at leisurely pace

There was laughter, joy, gaiety all over. Giggles were rising in waves from the girlie-groups — savoring hot chocolates, cold ice-creams, tangy mustard-sauce hot-dogs or sipping steaming hot coffee from thick paper cups.

He glanced at his wrist watch – a Torsag Royale – the costliest in the world, a watch with 106 diamonds and platinum at those places where diamonds could not be moulded. He was woken up at 3 AM, by a call from President's Palace in New Delhi. "You are under a direct threat Mr. Khan…. There is something very sinister…." The words were spoken torrentially, like a hail storm. They came from a man in tearing hurry, a man in panic, a man soaked in his own sweat. He could hear the panting and the palpitation the caller was experiencing. He wondered at caller's willing spirit to take that risk, something which could jeopardize him for ever, put him behind bars for rest of his life. He smiled and threw his head back in bewilderment.

Life is an enigma he muttered. There are people who put their lives at stake to take mine…… and there are people who are willing to stake theirs to protect me. What a world! What a Life! He shook his head.

The dye was cast.

That was an epoch–making moment, a turning point. A turning point for the world around him, a moment, which would change the lives of many million men in the decades to come.

Hate is the most intense emotion. It is more intense than love. A man can hold back his love but no man can hold back his hate—whatever it may cost him.

Soma struck the weapon in Bodha's abdomen and cut the body horizontally in two halves. Chest and abdomen were separated.

Ratna, cut away the arms and legs. It is easy to cut human body along the joints, where hard bones are connected to each other by soft thread-like tissues called tendons. The half dozen odd body parts were flung in the air at random. They fell feet apart.

Revenge is the sweetest of all human experiences, its sweetness stays forever.a

Marketing Timeline For Published Authors

Here are some things to think about when deciding how to market your book and when to think about them:

12 months prior to publication: You know the publication date of your book and should already be brainstorming ideas for your marketing campaign. Do you have any useful contacts in publishing or outside of it? What authors could you approach for cover quotes? What are you willing to do to make your book a success—send galleys, get a Web site, finance a small or large contest? Will you be doing book signings or running ads? Make a list of all of these things and plan ahead to avoid a last minute rush. It's always more expensive to do things at the last minute and what you do may be less effective if you don't get the word out in time.

9-10 months prior to publication: Before doing anything, discuss your marketing plan with your editor. Editors present upcoming titles to our promotions/sales staff generally nine months prior to your book's publication, and it is at this point that your editor should be able to relay what you have planned and what you're willing to do to promote your title. This way, your marketing department will know what support you will require and can plan accordingly. Also, your editor can let you know what they've got planned for pubilicity so that you don't duplicate what's already being done.

7 months prior to publication: Your plans of whether to embark on a sizable promotion or book signing or to place advertising should be finalized. In addition, your editor and publicity department should be fully aware of those plans so that your company's sales staff has the tools necessary to present your book to their accounts. If you intend to send advance galleys to booksellers, you should do so now.

3-4 months prior to publication: Send ARCs or galleys to reviewers. If you don't have bound advanced reading copies, a photocopy of your author galley plus a cover flat and a short letter is sufficient. Also remember that the reviewers can be very busy and may not get to reading your book right away. Patience. They will get to it, but if you're writing a category book, you may want to send the ARCs even further ahead so that the reviews will be available before your book is off the shelves.

Last but not least, remember to keep your publisher's publicity department informed of your promotion efforts, whether big or small. The publicity department can take what you're doing and help get the word out. Also, you can avoid duplicating efforts and save money by keeping them informed.a

Opera singer Shirley Verrett dies at 79 in Mich.

Shirley Verrett, an acclaimed American mezzo-soprano and soprano praised for her blazing intensity during a career that spanned four decades, died Friday in Ann Arbor, Mich. She was 79.

Verrett, one of the top opera singers of the 1970s and 1980s, had been suffering from heart trouble, said Jack Mastroianni of IMG Artists, who was notified of her death by the Metropolitan Opera Guild.

Born in New Orleans, she was renowned for a blazing intensity in her performances as a mezzo for much of her career and a soprano in her later years. She battled racial prejudice in a predominantly white European-centered art form during a 40-year biracial marriage, according to her autobiography.

Verrett studied at the Juilliard School in New York and was a 1961 winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.

Known early in her career as Shirley Verrett-Carter, she made her professional debut in 1957 and a year later appeared for the first time at the New York City Opera as Irina in Weill's "Lost in the Stars." She also appeared in the first televised Young People's Concert by conductor Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic from the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

A debut followed at London's Royal Opera in 1966 as Ulrica in Verdi's "Un Ballo in Maschera," and two years later she made her Metropolitan Opera debut in the title role of Bizet's "Carmen," a role she has sung to acclaim at the Spoleto Festival in 1962.

"She is good-looking, and she has a beautiful voice that moves smoothly from low tones to high and plays around freely in the treacherous middle without audible shifting of vocal gears," Allen Hughes wrote in The New York Times. "She also has an attractive stage manner and personality. She laughs easily and convincingly, flirts beguilingly and registers changes of attitude and feeling without hamming or posing."

A year later, she appeared at Milan's Teatro alla Scala in Saint-Saens' "Samson et Delilah." In 1988, she opened the San Francisco Opera season with Placido Domingo in Meyerbeer's "L'Africaine."

Verrett was part of the second generation of black opera singers who followed Anderson's breakthrough at the Met in 1955. Coming after Leontyne Price, she was in a small group of black headliners that included George Shirley, Grace Bumbry, Reri Grist and Martina Arroyo.

Verrett's Met career lasted until 1990, and she sang soprano roles that included Puccini's "Tosca" (opposite Luciano Pavarotti), Bellini's "Norma," Leonore in Beethoven's "Fidelio" and the title role in Verdi's "Aida" and Desdemona in Verdi's "Otello."

In 1973, she sang both Dido and Cassandra in the Met premiere of Berlioz's "Les Troyens" opposite Jon Vickers, replacing an indisposed Christa Ludwig in the latter part. Harold C. Schonberg wrote in the Times that her duets were sung "as beautifully as anybody could desire."

Two years later, she joined Beverly Sills and Justino Diaz at the Met for the U.S. premiere of Rossini's "The Siege of Corinth" under the baton of Thomas Schippers — Sills' long-delayed Met debut. And in 1977, she sang Madame Lidoine in the Met premiere of Poulenc's "Dialogues des Carmelites"

Verrett performed Dido at the opening of Paris' Bastille Opera in 1990 and sang Nettie Fowler on Broadway in Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Carousel" in 1994. AP drama critic Michael Kuchwara wrote she seemed "a little at sea, swallowing some of Hammerstein's best lyrics."

In 1999, she appeared off-Broadway in the musical-comedy "In Dahomey." Three years later, she sued the recording company BMG Classics, alleging her performance was used in the Oscar-winning foreign movie "Life is Beautiful" but she was never paid. The case was dismissed.

Her autobiography, "I Never Walked Alone," was published in 2003.

She joined the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance in 1996 and was its James Earl Jones Distinguished University Professor of Music when she retired last May.a

Rose's Dream

Everyone wishes to have a dream box, in which there is a magical world. In the world, they can use their imagination to fancy whatever they can think of, and experience a fantastic journey, just like Alice in the popular movie Alice in wonderland. I think most of the people who have watched the movie dream of being Alice to live with those lovely creatures and to have such an experience. Rose also envies the life of Alice and wishes to have a dream in which she is no longer a human being, but something else. For she always wants to know what it is like to be something that she is familiar with. One night, an angel comes to Rose's bedside and she tells Rose that she will dream a dream tonight. In the dream, she will become a handbag and have a wonderful tour. Also, she will learn about what is the proper behavior for a handbag when attending different occasions. Rose is so exciting and curious that she falls asleep quickly. Rose arrives at a large house and she sees a lot of handbags just like herself. Rose remembers that there are also a lot of handbags in her mom's wardrobe, but these are more beautiful. Each one of them has their own characteristics. Rose is so amazed and impressed, feeling good being one of them. The members in the house are intimate with each other and they always keep a sweet and gorgeous smile on their face, smiles that are lightening the house. Rose feels as if she is in a heaven. After Rose says hello to every handbag in the house, she is taken by her master to start her new life. By the way, we can call Rose's master as Crystal. Crystal tells Rose the purpose of this trip is to teach her how to behave under different occasions. It is at 12:00 and they reach a restaurant. Crystal put Rose on the floor besides her feet. Rose is told by Crystal that it is rather rude to let her stand on the table. It is just like putting people's feet directly on the table .It is also the same when people are visiting someone. Also, there are other options for Rose to choose from. She can stay behind Crystal on the chair or on her laps. If the nearby seat is not occupied, it is also a good choice. In the evening, Rose and Crystal attend a dinner party. There are some important rules for Rose to follow in order to make herself decent during the party time. Belows are the tips Rose would like to share with her friends in that house for this kind of party. Since the dinner party is a formal occasion, it matters a great deal what kind of evening dresses being worn and what kind of bags being taken. What is more, they should match with each other. In this case, an elegant purse is a must , for it shows the respect to the host. When changing business cards with someone or having food, the handbags should be put aside. When Rose wakes up the next morning, she is lying in her bed and back to her normal life. She remembers the scenes and happenings in the dream so clearly that she does not believe it is just a dream. Rose is so impressed by the warm and comfortable atmosphere the house is presenting and the pretty friends in that house.Suddenly, the name of the house comes to Rose's mind, it is Dinodirect. In her dream, it is the name of the house where all kinds of handbags are living in;but in the real world, it is an on-line shop selling all kinds of products, such as the women's handbags, backpack bags. Rose tells her classmates about this strange dream when having lunch in school and recommends them to try this on-line shop. Rose believes that Dinodirect can be much better in reality and will not be a disappointment.a

Three's company

The afternoon sun reached out into the room in which he sat alone, accompanied by nothing but the sound of gunfire from his video game. The phone call last night had kept him thinking. But she always kept him thinking, mostly of her. His imagination didn't have to run too far once the ringing of the bell echoed in the small apartment. He adjusted his hair in a futile attempt to bring a compliment out of her. He held the cold door handle and opened to beauty. She turned to look at him, her beautiful, long and black hair flowing. Even in the darkness he could see her deep dark eyes, remembering the moments he wasted by losing him self in them, "But as John Lennon said,'Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted.'" he thought to himself. In she walked in the particular manner that grasped many a man's attention, a way that isn't meant to be mistaken for a promiscuous behavior. She stopped in the center of the room to fix her hair, gathering it in her palms. The setting looked like something that was meant for a cheesy romantic comedy movie in which this would be the scene where the boy's eyes grow wide with amazement and pictured her in a field of green, but having not seen too many of such films he just looked at her in the natural surroundings. She was an example of contradiction to one of Oscar Wilde's quotes-"Where beauty begins… intelligence ends." She turned and gave him a sweet smile, followed by a "Hi" in which she laid emphasis on the "I". Damn if she ever thought of him in this manner! The sound of the bell reflected on the walls of the place. This time he opened it to a smiling boy. There were the initial "teenage" greetings and laughter followed by an arrangement. And so our main protagonist grabbed his iPod and headed to the small restroom to spend thirty minutes within it. He had given her and her boyfriend the apartment for them to fulfill their adolescent need for contact. He didn't mind because they were his closest friends and even fought over the feeling of being walked over. But that's what made it so hard… he was his best friend and so was she. But thats all it was. No matter how hard he wanted, she and he would never cross over "best friends" "Lucky bastard!" he thought with a smile on his face…a
